I acknowledge that I live and work in Teejop, the Four Lakes region, on the ancestral lands of the Ho-Chunk people. I honor the people who have tended to this land in the past, those who are here today, and their ancestors whose relationship with this place continues. I acknowledge my own ancestral lineage as early settlers and colonists of the United States, and the ways in which my ancestors were part of a history that brought profound wounding, dispossession, and disruption to indigenous peoples and the land. I seek healing, reconciliation, and a more reciprocal relationship with the land and for the collective healing of our country and our world.
